This treatment is part of my Tsitsi’s Top Picks campaign. Tsitsi is the merchandiser for our very popular dressy category. Because our dressiest items cost more, I wanted to highlight the luxury of the items and help the customer to see these pieces as an investment. Here's how I introduced a new retail offering of homegoods for Ashro. It was a mini catalog insert that went room by room: a spread for the kitchen, the bedroom, the living room, the guest room etc. I created editorial introductions for each room to inspire the customer and sell our merchandise.
I started my career at Ginny's, a home & hardgoods catalog within the Colony Brands portfolio—and I learned my craft under the strict eye of Ginny herself!
Working for Ginny’s catalog involved large quantities of labor-heavy, benefit-driven sell copy with a cozy vibe. Here, I am selling a massager called the UCOMFY. I needed to explain its technical benefits while keeping an inviting, warm tone. This was a very common type of writing for this brand—products spanned everything from exercise equipment to illuminated angel figurines.
I worked very closely with design partners to ideate and create these presentations. We wanted to modernize our way of selling, inform the customer and make it feel interactive.
